Holiday Gifts of Love Blog Hop and Giveaway!!!!

Welcome to the Paranormal G-spot (although today I think it's just the G-spot - you'll find out more if you keep reading. Heh, heh).

This weekend, starting today, I'm participating in the Holiday Gifts of Love Blog Hop and talking about my favorite parts of the holidays then perhaps tainting cookie decorating for you forever. Curious? Keep on reading! ;)

For this blog hop, we have THREE grand prizes. You as a reader can go to EACH blog and comment with your email address and be entered to win. Yep, you can enter over 200 times!

Now what are those prizes?

1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
2nd Grand Prize: A $200 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
3rd Grand Prize: A Swag Pack that contains paperbacks, ebooks, 50+ bookmarks, cover flats, magnets, pens, coffee cozies, and more!

And I'm giving away my entire e-book PNR series, Shadows of Destiny, to one winner!

Anyone else remember decorating gingerbread men and sugar cookies as a child? Eating more frosting than you put on the cookie? Making the kitchen look like a real life Candy Land? Flour all over your face and hands? I have fond memories of hours spent baking with my mom and grandma.

I'd LOVE to recreate those memories with my kids but I'm not even half the baker they were. I try, but for some reason my sugar cookie dough blows up twice the size of the cookie cutter in the oven so Santa looks less like a jolly man with a hat and more like an alien with a cone head.

So, because of my lack of chemistry skills, I buy the pre-shaped cookie dough where all you have to do is slap them on a cookie sheet and throw them in the oven. Then, to make up for my lame parenting, I buy lots of icing and sprinkles and let the kids go to town on them. We have the most unrecognizable, but appropriately sized, Christmas cookies on the block!

I wish mine looked like this

And now to defile that adorable little story. Here's an excerpt about Christmas cookie decorating from my new novella, The Dom on the Naughty List. This is a short sequel to The Dom with a Safeword but can be read alone as well. It's releasing on December 21st!!! Sign up for my newsletter on my website (www.leiashaw.com) to find out how to get this book for free!

Blurb and R-rated excerpt are below.

Blurb:

Who needs Christmas when it brings bad memories? Jude is hung up on his past but his brats, Q and Sabrina, are going to drag their normally good-natured Dom into the festive season even if they have to put him on the naughty list. But being in a ménage a trois isn’t simple.

Family drama, unexpected consequences, and the sexy shenanigans all avalanche in with the snow to make Jude, Sabrina and Q find out exactly how deep their love goes.

Excerpt:

With a shrug, Q looked over her baking experiment, trying to decide which cookie to start with. Maybe if she piled on the frosting, it would cover the burnt taste in the last batch. The Santa cookie had escaped with only a slightly charred section by his hat’s pompom.  Q set to work, trying to master the art of getting the icing to come out of the bag without air pockets ruining the texture.  When Santa was done – his pompom hat a glob of white icing to cover the blackened part – she moved onto a reindeer.

Sabrina was lapping her though, if the term could apply to baking as well as car racing.  She must've been on her eighth one already.

“Oh my god.  Your tongue is actually sticking out.  You are so cute!” Sabrina chuckled from across the table, where she’d paused while icing a star.

“I’m not cute. I’m terrifying.”

“Yes, Q,” Sabrina said in her best sarcastically obedient submissive voice.

“Do I need to prove it?” Q glared.  “Take off your t-shirt.  Now.”

Sabrina’s mouth opened and closed a few times.  Q could tell she wanted to argue, but knew that being mouthy over something so trivial might make her funishment less pleasant.  With a dramatic sigh, she stood and pulled her shirt off over her head.  Even having been in a relationship for over a year, the sight of Sabrina mostly naked froze Q in place for a moment.  With her cheeks and neck a little pink, Sabrina stood in the middle of the room – her little thong panties making her seem more naked than naked.

Q got up from the table and strolled to her.  “Hands behind your head and turn for me.”

She complied. Q let her gaze slide over her like an extra pair of hands. The best part of making her do this, other than getting to admire her woman, was that Sabrina hated it but did it anyway - for Q. To please her. Fucking hot.

Careful to be quiet, Q snaked her hands out behind her.  As soon as Sabrina had made it all the way around, she let loose.  Pink and purple icing squirted out of the bags, hitting Sabrina square in the chest.  Sabrina squealed and back-pedaled,frosting sliding down her breasts.Q was on her in an instant.  With a chuckle, she backed Sabrina against the counter, smearing a handful of purple icing over her tits and belly.

“Q!  What’d you do that for?” Sabrina broke away from her and ran back to the table, grabbing up the turquoise blue.  “Stay back!  I’m not afraid to use this.”

With a grin, Q whipped off her shirt and charged.  Several more tubes of frosting flew from the table, some grabbed and some knocked over.  Q wrestled her girlfriend to the ground, squishing copious amounts of the sugared stickiness into the existing mess.  Sabrina’s reasoning gave way to complaining and whining, but failed to have any effect on Q.  At one point she took Sabrina’s mouth hungrily, and the game became more sensual.  Q wasn’t quite sure when she lost her own pajama bottoms, but she vividly recalled stealing Sabrina’s tiny panties.

Does that give cookie decorating a whole new meaning? It does for me.

Lust After Death Book Tour!!!

Today I'm hosting Daisy Harris's book tour for her book Lust After Death. Don't you just love the title? It sounds sexy but dangerous.

Check out the blurb below to find out what this intriguing book is about. And, even better, Daisy has graced us with a super SEXY excerpt from Lust After Death. I just like saying the title. Lust After Death!

Enough of that. Let's get to the good stuff!

Blurb:

In the Pacific Northwest, where life hurries to keep pace with technology, a re-animated bride named Josie struggles to escape her creator and to find her identity in the half-erased circuitry of her mind and body.

Assassin Bane Connor just wants to get the girl to the Zombie Underground and receive his payoff-a mental reset that will erase his memories as well as his guilt. But an attack by a rival faction derails his rescue, and the wide-eyed female whose circuitry requires a husband tears at his hardened heart and ignites desire like he's never known.

Excerpt:

She picked up a bar of soap and her eyes widened. Normally Bane hated how newbies wondered at every damn thing—but this girl didn’t look stupid. She looked kind, excited, happy. The bar slipped out of her hands into the water and Bane watched as she dove head-first to find it. His hand left his dick to grab at the metal. He worried she might not know enough not to breathe under there.

Her head popped up again and she flipped her ebony mane from her face. A grin split her face. Damp curls of hair framed her cheeks, tangled at her shoulders, licked at her collarbone. She giggled and rolled the soap in her hands. Her eyelids fluttered as she smoothed the cream over her arms and up the long column of her neck.

Bane’s fingers traced over his lips as he watched her soap her body. He held his breath, silently urging her hand lower.

She obliged, skimming over the curve of her breasts before sliding her touch down her belly. Her palm dipped below the water and he lost sight of it, but her eyes fell to half-mast and her lips parted. When her arm reached farther, the girl’s eyes pressed tight as her mouth made a shape like an O.

Fuck! His legs swung out from under him and his fingertips barely caught on the thin ledge. Bane hung there for a moment, wondering whether to drop to the ground or pull back up. Despite his better judgment, he wedged his toe into a crack in the concrete wall and angled his body to push his torso higher until he once again peered like a letch through her window.

He shouted, finding her face right up to the glass. Her mahogany stare met his—surprised, curious, but not frightened. One corner of her mouth curled up into a lopsided, cherubic smile. She reached out a hand to the window and traced his face. When her fingertips covered his lips, her other hand reached up, stroking her own mouth.

Bane lost his grip, and with a winding thud, fell flat on his ass.

Heh, heh. Sexy but fun at the same time.

About Daisy Harris:

Birkenstock-wearing glamour girl and mother of two by immaculate conception, Daisy Harris still isn't sure if she writes erotica. Her romances start out innocently enough. However, her characters behave like complete sluts. Much to Miss Harris's dismay the sex tends to get completely out of hand.

She writes about fantastical creatures and about young men getting their freak on, and she's never missed an episode of The Walking Dead.

A Walking Dead fan! I know she's a cool person just from that!

Even more goodies below!!!

***Daisy will be awarding a $20 gift certificate to Amazon or Barnes & Noble and a Walking Dead T-Shirt to a randomly drawn commenter during the tour (US & Canada Only).

Follow her tour with Goddess Fish Promotions for even more chances to win!

My time in the writing cave - new projects coming up!

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I've currently got three projects in the works. I'll tell you a little about them in hopes you'll forgive me.

1. A holiday novella called The Dom with the Naughty List will be releasing shortly. This book picks up where The Dom with a Safeword left off. Jude, Sabrina, and Q get in the holiday spirit with some kinky play, family drama (wherein Sabrina tells her family about Q), and a Christmas surprise! This book will be free for everyone on my mailing list so be sure to sign up at www.leiashaw.com. Otherwise it'll be 99 cents on B&N and amazon.

2. Also my next book in the Shadows of Destiny series is in the works! I had to step away from this series for a little while because I was getting a little stale with it. But after trying out some contemp erotic, I'm finally ready to go back to it. Destiny Forgiven, the sad tale of Maddox, sorcerer from Wales, is the next to be released, hopefully sometime in early spring.

3. Another contemp erotic in the Dom with a...series. I know, bad name. I'll come up with something better. Cari Silverwood, Sorcha Black, and I are teaming up again to release another BDSM menage romance, yet to be named. This will feature Cross, remember him from DwaS? He's a sexy, tattooed, slightly scary, definitely Domly Dom! I'm excited for this to release early spring as well.

So, that's my apology for being absent from this blog for a while. But coming up shortly, I'll be hosting a Goddess Fish tour, with some prizes so come back for that. I'll also start up with blog hops again. For now, back to the writing cave!

Perfectionist or Garfield? Which one are you?

***Originally post on Nights of Passion***

Since I usually write my Tuesday posts last minute, today you’re stuck with a rant based on my mood Monday night, which was when I wrote this, which was last night, and now it’s Tuesday, wherever you are, reading this. Yeah. Weird. Hey, I’m like me from the past, talking to the future you. Whoa. *enter Twilight Zone music*

It’s late people. You get what you get.

Anyway. I started two new books recently. Up until now, getting into a new project was fun and exciting and challenging but not so challenging that I was literally gnawing my own arm off starting at my fingernails. It was the kind of challenge that made you wanna throw on a gray jogging suit and do a little Rocky Balboa dance to Eye of the Tiger. You’re singing that song now, aren’t you?

So there I was, jogging suit freshly washed, ipod cued up, then…something changed.

Maybe it’s because I’ve grown as an author, or maybe it’s the pressure of putting out quality work faster, or maybe it’s because I added more fiber to my diet. I don’t know. The point is, something has changed and I don’t like it.

I’ve turned into a perfectionist. Some of you are obliviously nodding your heads to this statement as if it’s no big deal. Well, let me tell you something. It’s a big fucking deal!

I am far too lazy to be a perfectionist. But I’m not the kind of lazy that wants to be less lazy and only needs a pep talk and a caffeine pill addiction. I’m the kind of lazy that is perfectly happy being lazy. I’m like Garfield. I don’t want to be less lazy. I like the way I am. Fat, in a lasagna coma, making sarcastic comments about everything that happens in my silly little world.

Perfectionists are obsessive compulsive control freaks (no offense to obsessive compulsive control freaks). They were the ones that always made me look bad in school. It would’ve been a lot easier on the rest of us if everyone was just average. Even better, if everyone was a slacker. But thanks to the overachievers out there, average is much…averager.

So distressed was I about this cluster fuck, that I complained to a writer friend. Our conversation when something like this:

Friend: Remember back when you were gently guiding me in the ways of successful authoring?

Leia: Huh? I did that? Oh. Right. Ahem. Yes, I remember.

Friend: You told me to write in layers.

Leia: Yes, that’s very good advice. Go me.

Friend: And now that the pupil has surpassed the teacher, and sits here pathetically begging for scraps of advice…

Leia: Ungrateful bitch.

Friend: …I’m going to tell you the same thing. Don’t get hung up on every word being perfect. Write the story in layers. The first is the foundation, the plot and bare bones of the story. Second, is character development, and subplots. That’s the meat of the book. Third is perfecting the wording and adding description. See? You don’t have to do it all at once. Layers.

Leia: Hmm. *stares at mansuscript* Fuck layers!

Sadly, the conversation went downhill from there. But you see my point, right? Fuck layers.

Sometimes the writing method that served you well for years just ups and leaves. Probably vacationing in Hawaii with that bitch muse that deserted you over the summer!

Sometimes, advice you give turns out to be shit and you don’t have the energy to go back and tell everyone you gave it to that you don’t really know what the fuck you’re talking about and why does everyone listen to you anyway? You’re Garfield! Can’t they tell?

And sometimes, things just change. It’s not fair. You can bitch and moan and stomp around – which, believe me, I did – or you can go with it. In the end, you kinda have to anyway. Life is like that. It likes to screw us over once in a while just to keep us on our toes.

This post is mostly for me, if you can’t tell. My own messed up, public form of therapy to soothe my panicking inner writer. There there, little inner writer. Everything will be okay.

Anyway, writers…has your process made a dramatic change over time? Has anyone else done a 180 on something that seemed totally out of character? If so, how did you deal with it?

More importantly, which is better? Lasagna, parfait, or cake?

RELEASE DAY! And $25 GC Winner Announced!

Today is the release day of The Dom with a Safeword!!!!

I'm soooo excited and I really really hope some of you are too! If you haven't been reading along and you'd like to know more about the book, here's the blurb and a few quotes from early readers.

Late at night, on an amateur ghost hunt, Sabrina and her best friend Q are caught trespassing by the gorgeous, blond Jude. The embers of attraction between them sizzle when they discover Jude’s kinks match their own. Jude is a Dom on his last summer of freedom before starting the prison sentence that is med school. Q is a badass bi switch who knows what she wants, and for years it's been her cute, doe-eyed straight friend Sabrina. But the only way to get into Sabrina’s heart and panties may be with Jude’s fist wrapped in her hair.

Domming the bratty Q and mischievous Sabrina isn’t going to be easy, but Jude relishes the challenge. At the end of the summer, will they find a way to stay together when everything is tearing them apart?

Warning: this book contains adult material including the use of multiple implements to bring bratty subs to their knees, scaffolding doubling as bondage apparatus, and a haunted house. No ghosts were harmed in the making of this book.

BDSM elements, M/f/f, f/f

"Sabrina's energy leaps off the pages. Q has dark edges but the protector instinct and vulnerability endears you to her. As with Cari's other Doms, Jude is confident without being an overbearing arse. I like that he is in control but isn't perfect." - author Bianca Sarble.

"The sex and BDSM elements were hot. And the characters were fun and quirky." - author Casea Major.

Here's a little excerpt:

In the midst of the evil looking displays, Sabrina resembled a virgin sacrifice. The little white sundress and shiny pink lip gloss marked her as prey. She had even tied her shoulder-length blonde hair back with a big white ribbon. It was Sabrina’s idea of a joke, dressing like this to go to some of the edgier stores in town. Although she’d meant for it to be ironic, it was keeping Q in a constant state of distraction. Visions of Sabrina bound and helpless flashed like an old film in her head.

Q avoided looking at her – it was making her mouth water. From the twinkle in her eyes Q could see it was the reaction Sabrina had been hoping for.

She was so damned confusing. Sabrina swore she was straight, but she was such a tease. She obviously liked Q’s attention, but rejected her on an intellectual level. However, physically she was starting to give Q mixed messages. It gave her reason to hope.

At that very moment Sabrina was leaning over a glass jewelry display, the hem of her little sundress barely covering the bottom of her ass. She gave Q a sassy smile over her shoulder and turned back to shopping.

The big tattooed store attendant cast an admiring glance over Sabrina’s shapely legs and nodded at Q, giving her the thumbs-up. “Yours, Q?”

“I wish, Cross,” she muttered back.

SSS - Halloween Style!

The Dom with a Safeword releases in 3 days!!!

And in true Halloween spirit, I have a ghostly SSS today! Sabrina is an amateur ghost hunter and runs into a spirit late at night and gets the scare of a lifetime. But what's good about being a little afraid is cuddling with a buff, hot guy to feel better ;)

Wails of pain bounced off the walls. Stumbling back, she put her arms out behind her, searching for the wall to steady her. Finally, she found the hard surface. She pushed her back up against it, dragging air into her lungs in big mouthfuls.

The wall moved. It fell away behind her, gravity taking her with it. She tumbled backward into a small tunnel, a yelp her last noise before the wall swung shut in front of her.

Remember to pick up you copy of The Dom with a Safeword on HALLOWEEN!!!

Halloween Event Guest Author Cari Silverwood!!!

Today I have the wonderful, talented, slightly annoying (she's my co-author, I can say that) Cari Silverwood here to talk about Halloween in Australian and her newest project!!!

What’s your favorite Halloween memory?

In Australia, we don’t have Halloween, so my only memories of Halloween come from watching American movies. Of those, the horror ones would have to take pride of place. But I’m not a real horror movie follower so the most recent horrifying type movie would be the spoofs like the Scary Movie series. Those I have seen several times due to my husband being a love with poor taste slapstick spoofs. Though if you torture me enough, I’ll admit I find the better ones hilarious too.

What’s your favorite Halloween candy?

We call ‘candy’ sweets or confectionary or most commonly, lollies, here in Australia. I’m not sure what a Halloween candy is, exactly. But in general, I like chocolate, so anything with chocolate on the outside will keep me happy. Chocs with caramels, chocs with toffee…except for strawberry insides. Yuck, yuck yuck. Or come to think of it, also yuck to lime, or orange, or any of those other colorful insides. I eat anything chocolate coated, as long as the anything is toffee or caramel.

What’s your ideal Halloween costume? Like, if you could be anything for Halloween, what would you be?

Okay, imagination mode switched on as we don’t have such costumes…a feral rabbit with big shiny metal fangs. That way until I open my mouth , you’ll think I’m just cute and fluffy. I like surprises. If you wanted me to say witch or devil or zombie, bad luck. Though I did play Death, in a play once upon a time – the guy with the black hooded clothes, skeleton hands, skull face and scythe. Now that was fun.

If you have kids, do you sneak candy from their bags when they’re sleeping? Be honest!

Nope. You Americans let kids take candy to bed? Being a tropical climate here, we get a lot of bugs. Do that here, let your kids take candy to bed, and you’d get up in the morning , go to check on them, and find they’d been eaten by some of our piranha ants. Nasty. Only bones would be left. And no candy either. The damn ants have a sweet tooth. I swear I’m telling the truth.

Does your book have a Halloween theme?

No, but The Dom with a Safeword does have a ghost. Her name is Grace. Though scary, she’s mostly harmless. Or that’s what Sabrina keeps telling us authors. Yes, we talk to our people from the book. She also told me to tell you that. Tell us about your book/series. The Dom with a Safeword is a BDSM erotic ménage romance. I dare you to say that fast six times in a row. The ménage is Mff so it’s one guy, Jude, who is the Dom, and two girls. Q is a bisexual switch who’s been in love for many many years with Sabrina, the ‘straight’ submissive. Sabrina is new to BDSM and girl on girl. Writing a book with so many legs and arms and lips and toes and fingers involved in the sex scenes was a challenge at times, but at least none of our people have a foot fetish. We’re hoping to make this a series eventually. There aren’t a lot of Mff ménage stories out there and yet there are definitely readers looking for these romances.

Now for a sexy excerpt:

A few minutes after, Sabrina was also secured, naked, and standing with her hands tied above her. From the bags he took out her costume and the broad leather belt, then he collected the crop and a few other things, and walked back with his attention completely on her. “I feel like dressing you up.”

“Is it pretty, Sir?” She wrapped her hands in the rope, and raised a skeptical eyebrow.

When he shook out the little black lace skirt and let the bra dangle she barely caught her frown before it spread.

Sabrina sighed. “Sir. I have a thing about only wearing what suits my complexion. And that’s like slutty vampire slut gear. I’m really not feeling all that undead today.”

He swallowed the laughter, let the ball gag uncurl from his hand. “Whatever made me think I’d need this?”

“Nooo.”

“Yes.”

Though she ducked away as far as the rope would let her he caught her and popped in the gag. The little skirt when he wriggled it up her legs sat on her midriff with the skirt so short it revealed her ass. But he loved it. The matching see-through bra was strapless and he did up the clasp then made sure her breasts sat with her nipples framed in the openings. He kissed each, once.

“Beautiful. Watch while I do things to Q. But, come to think of it…now I have you all tied up…”

Like he had before, he played with her breasts and her pussy, even put his mouth to each nipple and sucked a while. When he had her screwing her toes into the floor, he stopped. “There. Now you know how you make Q feel, most days. Such a tease.”

He circled her, cruised his palm over her ass. “I can’t pass this up. If I put one hand here…” He cupped her pussy with the heel of his hand on her clit. This would do it for her. He spanked her hard, six times on one cheek, then ten on the other.

Her muffled groans came out past the gag. He started spanking her again, alternating ass cheeks, and kept going until she pressed herself rhythmically onto his hand. “There you go, pet. Now you’re extra hot.”

That made her growl indignantly.

He grinned. “You can learn how to wait patiently. Waiting builds character.”

Mmmm.... One of my favorite parts!

Here's more about Cari:

Cari Silverwood writes the way the world should be - dangerous and sexy with bullets piercing the darkness and lovers wrenched close by ropes. When you need escape, when you need that rough lover to bring you to your knees, here you will find stories to singe your fingers. The taste of adventure, the tang of BDSM, the burn of fantasy run wild. Brace yourselves, if you dare to read.

And...in this real world, she has a lovely family in Australia, with the prerequisite teenager who dwells in the dark bedroom catacombs…a husband who raises eyebrows when he catches glimpses of what she writes, and a furry menagerie of other animals barking, meowing, and swimming about the place.
