Six Sentence Sunday!

Another snippet from my upcoming release, Destiny Bewitched. Samantha is forced to fight a terrifying worg in a supernatural gladiator ring. Her small sword and magic animal familiar (a ram) are her only weapons.

She tried to summon her familiar to protect her, but it only kicked up its hind legs and turned in a circle.

Damned brainless sack of wool!

Then the worg charged. There was no way her lame protection circle would do a lick of good against such a powerful creature. So she did what every other red-blooded American girl would.

She ran like hell.

Destiny Bewitched is releasing very soon so stay tuned. Thanks for coming by!

Fun with Erotic Words

This post was triggered by a request on facebook for erotic words to fill in a homemade crossword puzzle and clues to go with it. So me, being so helpful and kind, tried to help. And my attempt to "help" morphed into this ridiculousness...

Romance - what gradually fades the longer you're married

Necking - what teenagers do in parked cars

Pregnancy test - what you buy after doing #1 across (necking)

A ring - what you demand after #3 down (pregnancy test)

Dry humping - sometimes better than intercourse

Vibrator - your best friend during NFL season

Electric toothbrush - can be used in a pinch when #5 down (vibrator) is broken

Shame - what you feel when husband catches you with #4 across (electric toothbrush)

Hairdryer - what you throw when husband accuses you of depriving him

Jail time - what the judge orders for assault with #2 across (hairdryer)

Fantasy - everything your life isn't

Lights off - how you do it after age 30

Blindfold - what you wear to stay in #7 down (fantasy)

Strap-on - what you'd like to tell your husband to wear when he whines about doing the dishes

Right hand - the only thing men need to have a good time

Menage - inviting your husband to play with your vibrator.

Alcohol - turns your average man into a porn star

Porn star - makes you need alcohol to screw your husband

Husband - never as good as your vibrator

So...wanna join in the craziness? Whatcha got? An erotic word then a clue to go with it.

Spring Fling Blog Hop and Giveaway!!!

Spring is finally in the air! At least where I live it is. And it feels so nice to get outside and enjoy it.

For this spring blog hop, I'm giving away 3 e-copies of Destiny United! Open to US, Canada, and internationally. Just fill out the rafflecopter below!

And here's a little post I like to call...

You know you’re a book addict when…

Your kids have ripped jeans and their shoes are too small but you have plenty of books on your e-reader.

It’s not unusual to find drool on your kindle in the morning.

If you totaled the amount you’ve spent on books in the last year, it’d be equal to or more than your mortgage payment.

Clicking the “buy now” button gives you a rush like a druggie getting their next fix.

Your e-reader gets more action than your partner.

Your kid’s first word was “kindle.”

You have a panic attack when your TBR pile gets low (by low I mean less than 20 books).

You catch yourself saying, “Oh that same thing happened to my friend Julie,” then freeze when you remember Julie is a fictional character in a book.

Your kids know if they touch mommy’s Nook her forehead gets all veiny.

You ask for gift cards (to Amazon, B&N, etc) for every holiday including your kid’s birthdays.

The countdown to a new release is more exciting than the countdown to the New Year.

You start reading a book then look up and realize it’s been hours and you’ve forgotten to cook dinner for your family. Oh and you’re still wearing your pajamas and haven’t peed all day.

Your e-reader is like your Mastercard – it’s everywhere you want to be.

You justify a new book purchase with excuses like “It’s on sale!” “I had a bad day!” and “It’s Tuesday.”

You can stop anytime. No really, you can.

Don't forget to check out the other great blogs on the tour!

Six Sentence Sunday! Sassy Style!

A little sass for you this Sunday. Geo has Samantha pinned to the bed.

She gave him a saucy smile. “I thought you were going to strip me.”
“I am. When I’m sure you’re not going to sucker punch me again.”
“Takes a sucker to get punched like one.”
He laughed out loud. “You’re asking for it.”

Will my feisty witch, Samantha, get what she's asking for? Do you think Geo can handle a saucy thing like her?

Read Destiny Bewitched in June to find out ;)

Hunky Heroes Blog Hop

Welcome to The Paranormal G-spot!

Who loves hunky heroes? *raises two hands*

And below is a favorite hunky hero snippet from my current WIP, book #4 in my series, Destiny Bewitched.

In this scene, mortal witch, Samantha, tries to sign up to fight in the Underworld's supernatural version of the gladiator games to save her sister. Geo, the sexy demon she met only two days ago, intercedes.

Ignoring her protest, he dragged her around the corner then spun to face her.

“What do you think you’re doing?” he demanded.

“Getting my sister.” She rubbed her arm where his fingers had dug into her flesh.

His nostrils flared and his brows descended. “You’re going to get yourself killed, that’s what you’re going to do!”

My God, he almost sounds scared for me. She watched him pace in front of her, alternating between rubbing his face and his horns. He mumbled about keeping her safe and something else about instinct. What the hell is he talking about? She’d never seen him so agitated.

“What do you care what I do?” she asked, crossing her arms. “I said I’d pray to Gaia and I will but –”

He cut her off with a sharp glare. “I’m not letting you do this.”

The hell he’s not. “I don’t see how you can stop me. Your powers don’t work here.”

He took several steps toward her, looking for all the world like he was going to throw her over his shoulder.

She took two steps back. “Now Geo…” She put her hands out in front, warding him off. “Just wait…my sister…”

He stopped and sighed in resignation. “Sign up for doubles.”

Her heart skipped a beat. “What?”

“I’ll fight with you.”

“But…I thought…” She opened her mouth then closed it, not knowing what to say. “Going home…don’t you want –”

He stabbed his finger toward her. “You’re still going to contact Gaia when we’re done so you better stay alive to do it!”

She nodded. “Okay. Okay.”

He was really going to do this. He was going to fight with her. Beside her. For her. Their gazes locked. A flood of emotion rocked her. Tears sprang in her eyes.

He shifted awkwardly, gazing at her from under thick brows. So strong and earnest. No one had ever fought for her.

Before she knew what she was doing, her feet were carrying her to him and she flung her arms around his neck. He caught her and pressed his face into her hair.

“Thank you,” she whispered and the tears spilled over.

After a moment, he set her away. “You’re going to do everything I tell you,” he said with a stern look.

She nodded and wiped her eyes.

“You’re not going to take any stupid risks. And you are going to think with your head, not your heart or by the gods, Samantha, I will toss you over my shoulder and walk you straight back to the door you came through.”

“Yes. Okay.” Anything, so long as he helped her get to Nikki.

His eyes softened and he wiped a lingering tear from her cheek. “Ah, matia mou, what have you done to me?”

Geo is the definition of a hero. He sacrifices everything for Samantha, the woman he never expected to love.

Six Sentence Sunday

One of my favorite parts in Destiny Bewitched. Geo realizes just how much he cares for Samantha.

He hadn’t known he liked freckles that appeared in the sunlight. Or waking to a husky voice, thick with sleep, in the morning. Or the little spot between two eyebrows that crinkled with deep thought. Flirty smiles, playful surrender in the bedroom, a cute, spankable ass, amber eyes, curly hair he wanted to grab in handfuls – gods, everything!

His throat constricted. He’d always thought love was the missing piece to his happiness – he never thought it’d hurt so damn much.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Hunky Heroes Blog Hop! I'm giving away a $10 GC and posting another excerpt from Destiny Bewitched. I'm getting more and more excited for its release in June!

Six Sentence Sunday

Destiny Bewitched - releasing June

“Did you put a spell on me, little witch?” he rasped in her ear. “Am I yours?”

She could barely find her voice. “Something tells me you’re not the type to belong to anybody.”

He leaned his forehead against hers. “I’m beginning to doubt that.”
