He shook his head slowly, disapproval written all over his face. “You’ve got a lot of nerve. Here you are, tied up with my rope, in my territory, and you’re mouthing off?”
“Nerve, I have an abundance of. What I don’t have is my weapons.”
“Nor will you get them. Did you forget you tried to kill me?”
“You started it.”

***Warning: content not suitable for readers under the age of 18***

She opened her mouth to call for Cristian. But something that felt like a bus rammed into her, toppling her to the ground. For the second time, the air rushed out of her lungs and she struggled to breathe. The beast was heavy on top of her, but took care not to crush her. His powerful arms thrust hers over head, pinning her to the ground. Even with five-inch-long nails, he was careful not to hurt her. His chest heaved, blood dripped from a bite mark on his neck. With every ragged breath, a snarl escaped his throat and blew the hair from her face. When she struggled, he growled quietly in warning.

His gaze roved her over rapidly. Her eyes, her lips, her neck, down to her breasts, back to her eyes again.

She could have killed him. Probably. Maybe. But she didn’t want to kill him, she wanted to calm him. In an ultimate act of trust, she yielded. Her body sagged underneath him, her pride stinging a bit. And, in the wolf way, she turned her head and bared her throat. Male satisfaction burned in his eyes before he leaned into her neck with his nose and inhaled.

His savage moan tickled her skin. Then his body contorted. It melted on top of hers, fur disappearing, and half its mass. In only seconds, a human took its place. A naked human.

She tried to pull her arms down but he gripped them harder. “Be still, Talia,” he said, his voice husky like gravel. “Don’t move.” His face warmed the crook of her neck. “I could hear your pain from miles away. Do you know what that does to a man?” She couldn’t speak, only lay there under his heaving body. “My Natalia, hurt and afraid.”

She opened her mouth to deny that last part, but he bit her chin.

Lifting his head, he stared down at her. Calmer, more human now, but still on edge. “Don’t argue, Talia, for once. Please. I have to taste you. Do not deny me this.”

It was a command, but his eyes asked for permission. She nodded.

He pressed her wrists into the snow. “Leave them there.” In a flurry of movement she could barely process, he had her stripped from the waist down. Her lips parted and she exhaled a gasp. Bared in the middle of the snowy mountains and she stilled burned for him. His hands, one of each of her thighs, pressed down, holding them open for his gaze. His groan of approval was so animalistic she shivered all over.

She watched him through half-lidded eyes as he leaned down and blew on her clit. Her hips arched off the ground. He threw both her legs over his shoulders and held her off the snow with her ass in his hands. Her arms, obediently placed over her head, and her shoulders were the only thing touching the snow. Then he feasted on her. Nipping and sucking, licking and teasing.

Her gasps turned into cries for mercy. Her squirms turned into flails. But he held her tight and steadily went on, bringing her to the edge then slowing, over and over.

When her clit burned and throbbed and she couldn’t take anymore, she pleaded, “Cristian, please!”

One more long decadent lick then he flipped her to her hands and knees, nudging her thighs apart with his. He entered her too slowly and she pushed back into him. His soft chuckle vibrated through her body. His hand snaked forward and grabbed her breast. As he thrust in and out, he pinched and tortured her nipples, and she moaned in delight. His thrusts grew harder and his hand moved down to her swollen clit.

“Ahhh…yes!” she cried. He teased her clit lightly and her pleasure grew to an intensity she’d never experienced.

“Oh, God, Natalia. You’re perfect,” he panted, driving into her over and over. Just when she was about to climax, he leaned over her and bit into her shoulder, pinning her while he finished inside her. “Mine.”

Yours. The sharp pain of the bite shot straight to her clit and she screamed. She was immobile, helpless under his stronger body. It was so carnal, so erotic. And fucking hot as hell.

“Yes!” The world fell apart and the only thing that existed was Cristian. He sent her soaring in pleasure then tumbling and spinning back down to earth. She cried out in ecstasy as he growled and spilled inside her.

St. Patty's Day Blog Hop!!!

Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Daoibh!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

No, I'm not Irish and, yes, I googled that.

Last blog hop I gave away an e-copy of my book, Destiny United, that featured an Irish fae. This time I'll let you choose your own book (it'll be mine, right? RIGHT?) with an Amazon or B&N gift card for $10 (open US and Internationally).

Today I'm going to talk about pinching. Yes, pinching. Why, you ask? Because I'm weird.

When I asked the host of the hop, Carrie Ann Ryan, what the blog post should be about she gave me a list of suggestions: St. Patty's day, wearing green, beer, traditions, pinching...

I'm not Irish. I'm Swedish, my husband's Italian, and my kids are Puerto Rican (figure that one out). So I'm unfamiliar with the traditions. When she suggested pinching, well, I thought she was being weird.

I looked up St. Patrick's Day and pinching and found this explanation:

"Forgot to wear green on St. Patty’s Day? Don’t be surprised if you get pinched. No surprise, it’s an entirely American tradition that probably started in the early 1700s. St. Patrick’s revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see (anyone not wearing green). People began pinching those who didn’t wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers."

How did I not know this?

Well, I'll tell you one thing, I fully intend to take advantage of this new information today on my family, friends, random strangers on the street...I don't care if you're wearing green or not. No one is safe from my fingers. If someone looks at me funny (or threatens bodily harm), I'll just give them an innocent look and say "the leprechaun did it."

Now that we've gotten the mandatory blog post out of the way, here's an excerpt from my newest PNR release, Destiny Unchained.

Blurb:  They call her The Huntress. A vampire with lethal focus, Natalia hunts rogue werewolves and kills them without mercy. She buried her heart centuries ago. Now she lives only for revenge. But when she’s forced to team up with the alpha of the northwest werewolf pack to catch a werewolf serial killer, her carefully controlled world is shattered by the passionate Cristian. Will Natalia accept Cristian’s claim on her heart even if it means sacrificing a part of who she is?

“How can you stand it?” Natalia asked, her nose scrunched in disgust. “It doesn’t smell anything like Chinese food.” The offending odor was called General Tsao’s chicken. It was unlikely General Tso Tsung-tang of the Qing dynasty had favored – or even eaten – fried chicken soaked in sickeningly sweet-smelling syrup. Take-out Chinese food was one of the many atrocities that made her glad to be a vampire. It was right up there with tanning beds and sagging breasts.

“And how would you know what real Chinese food smells like?” Cristian asked, popping a piece of chicken in his mouth.

They sat at the small table in the motel room, the six o’clock news filling the background as they half paid attention for clues. Sleep that day had been oddly refreshing, especially considering she’d shared a bed with a werewolf. Not to mention he was a blanket hog. “I spent a few years in the Kunlan Mountains during the seventeenth century. I know what real Chinese food smells like.” She opened one of the cookie packages and sniffed it. “What do they make these out of? Cardboard?”

He grabbed the cookie from her hand. “Miniature life lessons.”

“They make them out of miniature life lessons?”

A deep chuckle rumbled in his chest. “No, you’re likely right about the cardboard. But it’s what’s inside that’s important.” After he broke the cookie apart, he regarded the fortune thoughtfully.

“Well? What’s it say?”

His brows furrowed. “A handsome blonde will enter your life bearing words of wisdom and a big –”

“Head?”

He looked at her. “Not what I was going to say.”

She tried, unsuccessfully, to smother a smile. “Give me that.” She snatched the paper from his hand and read it.

Love is for the lucky and the brave.

“So,” Cristian said, waggling his eyebrows, “feeling lucky?”

She chuckled, wadded up the piece of paper, and threw it at him. He beamed, likely proud he made her laugh. Gods only knew why he was obsessed with it.

“Luck I get,” she said when they’d sat in silence once more. “But why brave?”

He shifted in his seat then sat forward, his gaze piercing through her. “Because, Natalia, love is a risk. Love from the depths of your soul requires a certain amount of sacrifice. It bids you to give yourself wholly to another. To allow someone to view you like a prism, assessing you at every angle, examining every flaw. You must lay yourself before them, open and bare, and say, ‘here I am. I hold nothing back. I am yours, mind, body, and soul.’ And all you can do is hope they don’t crush you.” He leaned closer. “But the man who truly loves you will tend to your heart like he tends a garden, nurturing it until it grows and blooms under his hand.”
She was on the edge of her seat, her gaze locked on him. Finally, she tore away and fiddled with her hands.

Clearing her throat, she forced herself to say, “Well said, Romeo.”

Love is in the Air Blog Hop Giveaway

Welcome to The Paranormal G-spot!

Love is in the Air and to celebrate the upcoming Valentine's Day I have an e-book giveaway!

I'm offering your choice of two books. My most recent paranormal romance, Destiny Unchained. The blurb is below.

OR

My new release, a BDSM romance based on a true story, 31 Flavors. Blurb is also below.

DESTINY UNCHAINED: They call her The Huntress.

31 FLAVORS: There are some things in life you have to try before you know how they will affect you.
After 5 years of awful sex, I was ready. Bondage and spanking had always featured in my fantasies, and one day, I convinced my husband to try them. That day was a turning point.

Ice cream comes in many flavors and that’s us too -- not vanilla, maybe not Rocky Road either. We can be a combination or make up our own and no one has the right to judge us. But there will always be one question that tears at my soul: Will my husband, Nick, ever be happy with what I crave?

Winner chooses the book they'd like to read.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I've written a post about LOVE.

Got in a discussion recently with someone about love. The person I discussed things with implied that the people in your life shouldn't put up with your "issues" and that there's no such thing as true, unconditional love.

We all have issues, can we agree on that? People are in a constant state of flux. We are a work in progress from the day we're born until the day we die.

But love doesn't expect change. It might strive for it, support it, challenge it, but it doesn't demand it. When you choose to love someone (and I firmly believe love is a choice), you choose to take them as they are with no promises or guarantees of fixing them, healing them, or changing them, in the future.

Love just is.

If you can't let it be, well, that's not unconditional love. And there's no such thing as conditional love.

We all go through periods of doubt, don't we? We wonder if we're good enough. If we're truly loved and understood by those around us. If we're even lovable. If there will come a day when the people we love most will stop putting up with our "issues" or flaws or weaknesses. And what would we do when that time came? Would we be strong enough to handle it or would we curl up and die? It's a frightening thought.

I had one of those moments of doubt recently and asked my husband (who I've known for 10 years), "You know me, right? All of me. You know I have issues?"

He looked at me and said, in his casual, easy-breezy way, "Of course I do. I accommodate them because I love you."

I smiled and all doubt was washed away. Because there is such a thing as true, unconditional love. And I have it.

Teaser Tuesday

Since I've been kinda lame, here's another excerpt from Destiny Unchained. This picks up from the previous post for 6 Sentence Sunday so start there if you haven't read it yet. Hope you enjoy it!

His eyes shifted rapidly as he studied her face. Her eyes, her lips, her neck, down to her breasts, back to her eyes again.

Six Sentence Sunday and New Cover!!!

I have a treat for you. Not only six awesome sentences from Destiny Unchained (book 3, out in December), but also its cover!

I'm not going to blabber on and on about it, only acknowledge my very talented hubby who worked hours on the cover for me. Thank you, honey!

And here are your six sentences (as you can tell, I use the figure 6 loosely):

Cristian rolled his eyes and looked down at both legs surrounded by at least two feet of snow. “I gotta lay off the Chinese food.” He reached his hands toward her. “Help me out.”

Her lips twitched. “What’s the matter? Big, bad alpha stuck in a little snow?” She grasped his hands and started to pull, but when he narrowed his eyes and tightened his grip, she realized her mistake. “Don’t you – ”

Her warning was cut off when, with a few swift movements, she was the one in the snow and Cristian stood grinning down at her.

“What’s the matter?” he taunted. “Big, bad assassin stuck in a little snow?”

Teaser Tuesday

I missed Six Sentence Sunday. Sorry. Was apple picking with the kids. Sidenote: September 10 is too early for apple picking.

So I'm making up for it with a Teaser Tuesday. Here's a short excerpt from Destiny Unchained (which I'm trying to move the release date to early December).

“I just want to be your friend.” He almost looked sad as he stepped closer and put out a hand. “No man is an island.”

She stared at his outstretched hand. “I’m not a man.”

“It’s a figure of speech. It means everyone needs friends. No one should spend a lifetime alone.”

“That’s the werewolf way. Not so for vampires.”

“You have covens.”

“Some.”

“Not you?”

“Not me.”

He grabbed her hand before she could dodge him and held it tight when she tried to pull away. His fingers slid up her bare arm. It tingled. She stared at the goose bumps it left behind.
“Don’t you miss being touched?” His breath whispered across her cheek. “Don’t you miss the gentle feel of skin on yours?” He bent his head, his goatee rubbed against her cheek.
She stopped breathing. He was so warm she could have melted into a puddle on the floor. Her eyes fluttered closed.

“A simple touch from a friend is like water to a drying lotus. It quenches its thirst, imparting fortitude to weather the storms.”

Her eyes flew open and she looked up at him. “That’s bullshit. Where’d you hear that?”

“One of the greatest bearers of wisdom in our day.” He bent down to her ear and after a dramatic pause, he whispered, “Chinese fortune cookie.”

Have a great week everyone!
